Code of Conduct

Corporate Social Responsibility Code

of Cameo Systems GmbH, 13355 Berlin

Preamble

For our specialised recruitment services focused on the DACH region, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means adopting a change of perspective. As a result, we strive to include the interests of all stakeholders — including those along the value chain — in our decisions in a responsible and long-term oriented manner, guided by the principle of sustainable development.

To cover all relevant areas, our CSR code consists of the following commitments.

Commitments

  1. We want to be good headhunters for our candidates — to place them in careers, in partnership and based on precise role profiles, with empathy and experience, so they can find happiness, fulfilment and success in life.
  2. We want to be good headhunters for our clients — using our knowledge of the market and industry, organisation and culture, as well as first-class selection methods, to help them hire or engage the talent they need, whether permanent or project-based.
  3. We respect the values and norms agreed by the UN Human Rights Council (e.g. the prohibition of child labour and slavery). We pay particular attention to the human-rights risks most relevant in Germany: discrimination (e.g. against migrant workers or women), working conditions, health and safety.
  4. We prohibit all forms of sexual harassment, sexualised discrimination and violence, bullying and stalking. We also prohibit every other form of discrimination — for example sexism, racism or ableism. Such conduct violates the dignity of the affected person and will not be tolerated. Where such cases are observed, we engage promptly in a trust-based dialogue and, after review, take immediate protective measures where needed.
  5. By systematically observing statutory occupational health and safety requirements we meet our duty of care for the physical and mental health of our employees. Through periodic checks (Joint German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy) we identify weaknesses and implement necessary improvements.
  6. Monthly payroll is handled by qualified tax advisers. This ensures — without reservation — that agreed wages (always above the statutory minimum wage) are paid and that statutory social contributions are fully transferred.
  7. We comply with the maximum working-time limits of the German Working Time Act (ArbZG) — on average eight hours per working day within six calendar months. In peak periods we extend the working time to at most ten hours per day. With the consent of our employees, we may also work on Saturdays (working days) during exceptional workloads, in order to comply with statutory provisions.
  8. We also comply with the special occupational protection rules for minors (§§ 8ff. JArbSchG) and expectant mothers (§ 8 MuSchG).
  9. We take responsibility for rest breaks. Employees are required to take breaks (§ 4 ArbZG) of at least 30 or 45 minutes. We also point out that a break is mandatory after six hours of work.
  10. We avoid negative environmental impacts caused by vibrations, substances, noise, pressure, radiation, gases, vapours, heat or other effects. Our recruitment processes for IT specialists do not routinely produce negative environmental impacts in soil, air or water, nor do they endanger protected species or natural habitats. We operate no facilities subject to environmental declaration or that produce water-polluting substances, nor do we store hazardous materials. We intend to maintain this going forward.
  11. Residual materials from our business activities (e.g. paper, cardboard, packaging, or food waste from employees) are disposed of exclusively in the containers provided by Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe AöR (BSR), in accordance with applicable environmental regulations. In special cases we use hazardous-waste collection points (e.g. for used batteries) or local recycling centres (e.g. for broken furniture).
  12. We place high priority on both waste avoidance (e.g. no single-use materials at events, renting rarely-used equipment) and waste separation (e.g. environmentally sound disposal via BSR’s separation system).
  13. When selecting business partners, we apply our Corporate Social Responsibility approach. Where enforceable, suppliers acknowledge our CSR code. We also include a specific contractual clause that prohibits indirect violations of our values under penalty.
  14. We have set up an anonymous complaints procedure. Where violations of our CSR code occur within our own sphere, we take immediate and effective remedial action. Where indirect violations are identified, we exercise our influence appropriately and seek at least to minimise harm to people or the environment.
